General Information
Academic result
College result from last five years is consistently good which are the basis of its strong foundation. As a consequence a large number of students are getting attracted to this college for admission.
Attendance:
In order to qualify for the Board/University examinations, concessions and scholarships students must attend at least 80% of the lectures (including practicals) delivered in each subject. Students who fall short of the required attendance do not qualify for any type of fee concession/scholarship. Such students will have to pay full fees. A monthly attendance record will be displayed regularly for the information of students, so that they may make up the shortfall of attendance.
Strict disciplinary action, leading to detention from appearing in examination shall be taken.
WARNING – No relaxation will be given to students who fall short of attendance in classes.
Identity Card:
All the students of the college shall have to wear the identity card compulsorily during college hours on the college premises, failing which action will be taken. Students are advised to collect the I-card from the admission committee.
College Examinations :
All students will have to compulsorily appear for the Unit tests as per schedule notified by examination committee.
Principal’s address :
The Principal’s address is arranged in the month of August. All students should attend it compulsorily as per the schedule declared.
Library & Reading Room:
The college possesses a well-stocked and fast-growing library. The Reading Room is provided with a large number of reference books, science journals, periodicals, scientific abstracts, general magazines, and news papers in English, Marathi and Hindi. It is provided with Internet, e-learning & Photocopy facility. A separate library committee ensures smooth functioning.
The normal library facilities have also been augmented by the following additional schemes with a view to make standard text books available on loan on term basis.

Network Resource Centre (NRC) & Wi-Fi Connectivity:
The college has a full-fledged Network Resoure Centre (NRC) with computers and internet facility. College Campus is provided with Wi-Fi Connectivity. All the student holders should take advantage of this facility.
Girls’ Common Room:
The college has a girls common room with basic amenities, near administrative office.
Career and Employment Guidance Bureau & Placement cell:
The college runs a career employment guidance bureau & placement cell for guiding the students to choose their career course for higher studies & for their personality development & job placement. Students should contact Prof.-in-charge for more details.
Guardian Teacher Scheme:
On joining the college each student is placed under the personal supervision and guidance of a teacher who acts as a friend, philosopher and mentor, and keeps a record of the students’ progress. For details contact Prof.-in-charge of the scheme.
Student Grievance Redressal Cell:
A student grievance redressal cell takes care of general grievances of students. For details contact Prof. in-charge.
Feedback Mechanism:
The college believes that there is always scope for improvement. It therefore seeks significant parent and student involvement through a feed-back mechanism. Students’ & Parents’ co-operation in this regard is essential. For details contact Prof.-in-charge.
Monitoring in College Campus:
The College Campus is monitored by teachers daily, shift-wise, to ensure the smooth running of the College and to curb outsiders’ disturbance. Tresspassers are not allowed. Students are advised to cooperate with the monitoring committee by wearing I-Cards and dissuading their friends from frequently visiting the College.
College Day & Guru Nanak Day Celebrations:
The College Day & Guru Nanak Day celebrations will be held probably in the month of January. The dates and schedule are notified separately.
College Magazine/Wall Magazine:
College magazine and wall magazine are run by an editorial board consisting of members of staff and students who have a flair for writing. This gives an opportunity for self expression to the students in Marathi, Hindi and English.
Games & Sports :
The College encourages students to participate in various games and sports. We have facilities for athletics, kabaddi, kho-kho, badminton, ball-badminton, basketball, cricket, chess, volley-ball for boys & girls. Deserving sports persons receive every encouragement from the college. The college participates in University sports and other recognized tournaments. The college produces a good number of University colour holders every year in Gondwana University, Gadchiroli. lnter-collegiate Tournaments.
Members of various teams must report punctually for daily practice for matches, otherwise facilities & incentive will be withdrawn. Any player who has been punished for indiscipline in college will be withdrawn from the team and will not be eligible for sports prizes or college/university colours. Gymnasium:
The college provides a modern gymnasium with all the facilities to its stake holders. Interested persons should contact the Physical Education Department for details.
National Cadet Corps :
The college has two NCC units: The Gondwana University, Gadchiroli provides incentive marks for N.C.C. activity. For details contact incharge of NCC.
National Service Scheme:
The college has been alloted 100 seats under the National Service Scheme. Students from all classes of senior college can apply. They are required to put in 120 hours of work per year including 7 days camp. The main object of the camp is to motivate students to work for the upliftment of the society. The Gondwana University, Gadchiroli gives incentive marks for participation in NSS activity. Interested students should contact Programme Officer.
Cultural Activities and Youth Festival :
The college provides ample opportunities for talented students to participate in various cultural activities throughout the year and to participate in the University Youth festival. The college has produced colour holders in the Youth Festival events. For details contact Professor in charge.
Nature, Science Clubs :
A very active Nature Club is run by our college. The club organize activities designed to enthuse young minds and create in them a love for the environment. The college also runs a Science Club.
Excursions and Tours :
No excursions or tours should be arranged by the students without prior permission of the Principal. The excursion/tour may be arranged strictly either on a weekend (Saturday, Sunday) or during vacations only. The excursion/tour should be sanctioned through concerned departments & committee. A lady teacher is necessary if girl students are accompanying.
Students’ Vehicle Stand:
Students should park their Vehicles at Cycle Stand near the college library failing which they will be penalized. Parking of vehicles in front of main college gate and on road is strictly prohibited violation will lead to disciplinary action.
Suggestion Box:
A suggestion box is placed near the office of the principal. The students should use this for giving positive suggestions & avoid personalized comments/remarks.
